About Me

Who I am

Hey there friend!

My name is Kourtney Naomi. I am a sensitive, passionate, coffee-enjoyin, lover of learning, writing, reading, laughing, dancing, singing, teaching, woman–daughter of God.

And I am so happy to have you visit my blog.

For years, my biggest challenges in life have always involved my emotions. I struggle with anxiety, I’m often unsure of myself, and I care too much about what people think. I’ve tried wishing these things away, ignoring them, obsessing over them, and working through them, but to be honest those things don’t always work.

I just can’t fix myself, friend.

Why This Blog Exists

I started Glory and Growth as a way to share what I’m learning about emotional health, growth, and well-being through a biblical lens and how God is helping me overcome these weaknesses through Christ. My hope is that whoever you are, you’re able to glean some insight into how the only way to true wholeness is through Christ.

I share my own experiences, scriptures, information from books, what God is teaching me, and what I learn from others. If you’re able to benefit from what I share here, please leave a comment. Also feel free to share any tips that have helped you gain emotional health.

So sit back, try to relax, and enjoy the journey of this thing called life with me!

Love and Light,

Kourtney Naomi

Kourtney, I love what you’ve shared about yourself and that you want to share what you’re learning about emotional health, well-being, and growth. I am not twenty-nine, but I wish I was because I wish I could have learned more at that age about being more sure of myself and worrying less about what other people thought. Just this morning I was thinking about my move to the states in my early 30s and how unsure I was about myself when I first stepped into NYC. But, I could also celebrate how far I had come, with God’s help, as today I confidently walked across Park Avenue. Then, getting into the elevator to go up to my workspace, I realized I am still unsure about myself in others ways! So, as I pressed the button, I said firmly “Rachel, be more confident.” Thanks, girl, your blog is going to be great and help so many women.
